A sure sign that signals the start of Spring is the green shoots of bulbs popping their heads through the soil in February ! There is the excitement of knowing your garden will soon be exploding with colour in just a few weeks . If you did not have the chance to plant bulbs in the Autumn - did you know that it is not too late in January to plant potted spring bulbs? we have plenty in stock this week at Meynells pet shop and garden centre in both our stores in Richmond and Barnard Castle - hyacinths, muscari and tete a tete - which can be planted straight from the pot into the ground or into containers ready to give you a burst of colour as the weather warms up !
Also newly in are some lovely new plant arrangements with spring bulbs in - an ideal gift or lovely to put on a windowsill
There is also a great splash of colour from the single pot primroses and some fantastic helebores and cyclamen

January is also a good time of year to plan if you are growing vegetables in the garden - in stock now we have plenty of potatoe sets and a wide variety of vegetable seeds plus coming very soon will be the onion sets
Also in store we have a range of plug trays and pots plus plenty of compost to get them going

In the shop

Did you know that upstairs in the Richmond shop there is a large selection of dog and cat beds and cat scratchers plus travel cages? You are welcome to come up and browse! A large selection of different sizes and styles to suit all different types of dog and cat
