Christmas is coming so why not support local businesses in this great town of Richmond this year – we really do appreciate it!
Christmas is creeping up on us and as you can see from our Christmas poster we certainly have plenty of the essentials to make your Christmas special here at Meynells!
The first of the traditional fresh foliage wreaths will be arriving this week followed by Turkish wreaths which are made of intertwined berries and foliage – we will also have some lovely artificial wreaths too
The first of the potted Christmas trees have arrived – from the smallest at just 18 inches – up to 6 ft and in different shapes and price ranges – these will be followed shortly by the cut Christmas trees – these will be Nordman fir and range in size from 3ft upwards – keep an eye on our Facebook page which is Meynells Richmond for exact timings
Also again this year and arriving shortly will be the fantastic plant arrangements which are a great value and attractive gift and of course the poinsettias ,the first of which have just arrived today – did you know that both of these are grown and produced by a local nursery so in buying from Meynells you are also supporting other local businesses in the area
All these items will be on the front trolleys in Finkle Street and the trolleys in front of the shop at Barnard Castle – but also there will be a great display of more trees and wreaths down the yard beside the shop in Richmond – where you can also find tree stands or log bases for your tree and also we have moss and wreath rings if you fancy having a go at making your own wreath this year
In the shop we have plenty of ideas for Christmas presents both for you pet and for your friends and family
How about an advent calendar for your cat or dog to start the countdown to Christmas with some fun? Or a stocking or a treat box perhaps ? We have a range of treats with Christmas themes but also our usual fantastic range of natural treats and a few natural treat stockings this year
As you can see from our window display we have some really fun Christmas toys – from large brussel sprouts to fluffy mince pies as well as more traditional santas , penguins and snowmen as well as some Christmas coloured tug toys
It is also a great time of year to choose a new coat for the winter for your dog and there has been a fresh delivery of quality dog and cat beds available in both stores – upstairs at Richmond where you can also find cat towers and scratching posts – brilliant for a practical present for your pet!
Apart from your pets – we also have some gift ideas for your friends and family in the shop – from houseplants ( including ones in Christmas decorative pots) to garden ornaments or more practical presents for a gardener in your life in new tools and seeds.
If you have a wildlife lover in your life – how about a beautiful new bird table or seed feeding station - a lady recently bought a seed feeding station along with the seed feeders and the seed itself to give as gift for her father who had just moved house – a lovely idea and all available at Meynells. We also have a selection of items for general wildlife such as hedgehog houses and bug hotels that would delight a garden lover.
And if out of all of those things you cannot decide what is best – how about a gift voucher from us so that you friend or family member can choose for themselves?!
